Fixes annoying Windows errors — It fixes all the stuff that drives you up the wall – crashes, error messages, The Blue Screen of Death, system freezes etc. And each problem includes a priority rating so you can see which ones need urgent attention. You can let Registry Mechanic fix all the problems or select which ones to repair. It also backs-up the registry for added peace of mind.

Optimizes and speeds-up your computer — You can clean, defragment, and optimize your computer’s registry. And you can tweak and optimize Windows using the “Tuneup your Services” tool.

Protects your computer privacy — The “Clean your Disks” tool erases all traces of your computer activities and your Internet history. This includes things like temporary files, recently opened documents, cookies, and the websites you’ve visited. It will also clean the history of more than 100 third-party programs. This is a really cool feature if you wanna stop people snooping on you.

Securely erases your sensitive data — The “Shred your Files” tool permanently erases files and “bleaches” your free hard disk space. (“Bleaches” means it wipes it of all data.) Both processes are done to Department of Defense DoD 5220.22-M standard, which makes the data completely unrecoverable.

Alerts you when you need to run a scan — You can choose to have the Registry Monitor running in the background. So when a specified number of changes have been made to the registry, it will alert you to run a scan. This will ensure your computer is free of problems and firing on all cylinders.

Keeps your computer optimized — The scheduler lets you scan, clean, and repair problems automatically to keep your computer running like new.

More than 60 million downloads — I dunno about you, but if I’m gonna let a piece of software make changes to my computer, then I wanna know that it’s been battle-tested before I use it. And with more than 60 million “guinea pigs” having already used Registry Mechanic, you know it’s gotta be sound.

Dislikes

Some tools just duplicate Windows tools — The defragmenter and the system tuneup tools are already available in Windows. So Registry Mechanic is really just providing shortcuts to the tools.

Bottom line

If you wanna keep your computer running like new, and stop people snooping on you, then give Registry Mechanic a try.
